Without further ado, let's take a closer look at the inspiring individuals who earned the titles of the Face of RG Chamari Davis and Serghei Boldesco.
Tell us about yourself!
Chamari Davis: Hi! I feel like this question always gets me, I’m just never quite sure what to say.. so here goes! I’m a Sri Lankan American who LOVES to travel. I’m a mom and I love it! Outside of momming and traveling, two of my greatest loves, I also have a passion for entertainment. I love to entertain whether that includes modeling, acting or walking the runway, I am instantly in love. Nothing in this world brings me more joy than making others smile, laugh and wonder and knowing that I have the ability to do that through my artistic expression is so magical to me.
Serghei Boldesco: I am a proud Moldovan- Romanian who immigrated to the USA roughly 5 years ago on sheer luck! I won the green card lottery in my country and was given the chance to pursue my American dream. Being a part of the RG family has been a part of making this dream come true as I continue to pursue my dreams in acting, modeling and my HVAC engineering career.
What does being the face of RG mean to you?
Chamari Davis: It’s an immense honor. I was shocked and thrilled to be chosen. RG is a brand I’m happy to stand with. You meet a lot of people in this industry and some of the most genuine, caring and inspiring people I’ve met are the people of RG right down to the creative genius himself, Tony. This is more than a brand, it’s a family and it’s a movement. The future is brighter and better with RG in it and I can’t wait to see how it impacts our world, and I’m excited to be apart of it.
Serghei Boldesco: It means being the face of a brand that truly represents the luxury of the people by Elevating the style of everyday people.
Any advice to share for models in the industry?
Chamari Davis: Dont. Give. In. As cliche as it sounds stay true to yourself. You’re entering this industry because you are passionate and have something unique to offer. Don’t dim your light because you don’t fit someone else’s mold. Accept the feedback you get for what it is and improve as needed but don’t change you or your values because it may not always be a positive shift. And above all trust your instincts, they’re usually right and not everyone you meet has your best interest in mind. And of course, every step of the way, make sure to enjoy the journey.
Serghei Boldesco: Be yourself and show the world who are! Be grounded and same time have big dreams stay focused and consistent and dedicated and truthful to you and everyone around. Discipline and communication it’s the key to success. Leave your full potential. Create your world hot you want to be and the same help another once to create theirs.
Rossario George is dedicated to making the world a better place, whether it be through our fashions or practices. One of the reasons you were selected for the face of RG is because we see this in you. What can you share what you do to add beauty to the world?
Chamari Davis: As a child, truly from the moment I can remember, my dream was to become a doctor that could travel the world and heal others and to change the world. As I grew and realized I had a passion for entertainment my (semi-childish) dream was to become “rich and famous” so that I could have the platform and the money to make a difference in this world. As my dreams evolved to become more “mature” there was always one constant- helping others. My life’s dream has always been to leave my mark helping others, as many people as I can, however I can. While I still feel like I’m figuring out my place in the world and in this industry, In the position I’m currently in I feel the best way to contribute is to be the example. As a mom, a minority, “old” for industry standards, too short for most modeling standards, there’s a lot of reasons why I can’t, but I do anyway. As I emerged into this industry and asked for help and advice I was constantly turned down and alone, terrified I was going to make a fool of myself. I will not allow for others to feel that way and I can’t wait to inspire and help people on their journeys to fulfill their passions, whatever they may be.
Serghei Boldesco: I serve our immigrant community and am an ally to all that is good. I do my part in small ways by volunteering to teach martial arts to disadvantaged youth to helping with the production of fashion shows that elevate and cultivate the best in our community . I believe we can make the world a better place.
